Why Study Physical Education?
Children spend more time in front of computers or television every day than they spend exercising every week. Physical education provides life skills that encourage students to be active and fit for life. It has a positive impact on students’ physical, mental, and emotional health.
With this subject you will receive a well-rounded and full introduction to the world of physical exercise, sport and sport science by developing an understanding of how the mind and body works in relation to performance in physical activity. This subject will also offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in a wide range of sports and activities which will help you improve your own performance. You will also have the opportunity to perform a wide range of sports, you will be assessed in three different sports in the role of player/performance.

● Socio-Cultural influences
● Sports psychology
● Health, fitness and well-being
● Physical training
Students that attend physical education are approximately 2 3 times more likely to be active outside of school, and almost twice as likely to continue to be active to a healthy level in adulthood.
